My audience addressed for this project are teenagers, specifically women and girls, despite not being specified in the essay. I attempted to prompt this audience by including visually feminine colors and images in my website. I also chose to host my website on Neocities, which has a majority Gen Z audience, to prompt teenagers to visit my site. I chose format-appropriate language, such as choosing not to capitalize words and using parentheses to represent afterthoughts to keep young readers engaged. I also chose to split up my paragraphs into different website pages, in which you can click a button at the end of each page to continue onto the next page, to increase reader engagement. My audience invoked will include my professor and classmates, and likely readers from age demographics outside of 13-24. I will also likely see engagement from male readers as well.
